Autumn is a magical time for the garden. From mid-September the seasonal changes become more evident: the days get longer, the temperatures (especially the night ones) drop and humidity and first mists appear. The atmospheres become sweeter and rarer: spending a few hours outdoors is almost a necessity, even in anticipation of the long cold months.
The most suitable colors for this period are undoubtedly the warm ones: a thousand shades from yellow, to red, to dark purple. We will find these colors on leaves, berries and, sometimes, even on the bark of trees and shrubs. To create a harmonious whole, we suggest also inserting flowering plants that resume them or that create fascinating and delicate contrasts, the most suitable for settings with a romantic and melancholic flavor.
Annual or perennial herbaceous, it is ideal to grow in borders or to naturalize in large meadows. Its daisy-like flower heads have yellow to orange to brick red ligules and create a wonderful contrast to the black center. Beautiful in large groups, in the company of gaillardias, echinaceae and ornamental grasses.
